if this is the same hot seat...
you have a student stand up in front of the screen, throw a picture up and they must tell a story based on that picture. at some point (randomly) you change the picture, and they must continue the story. the pictures generally are COMPLETELY unrelated so it's hilarious to see how they connect them in their story.
I can only do it with my highest level students; I don't make them use full sentences, let them take their time thinking (translating their thoughts), and usually I put three up at a time. The first one can tap out and the second student must continue the first's story. (they must do at least one slide though)

Here's mine on a prezi. The students have a word on the board behind them and their teammates have to explain the word without saying it. Pretty fun and over 150 words.

This is great. My higher level kids love taboo and I just played jamiejl's ppt with my lowest level class and apart from some cheating and a little too much Korean speaking that I had to come down on, it went really well. Super well in fact. Thanks very much.

These are awesome! Another way I've seen this game played is by having one student stand in the front of the class with their back facing the picture. The rest of the class gives the individual student clues to what the picture is of, but you can make it more difficult by prohibiting them from using certain words:
Example:
Picture of Park Ji Sung
Cannot use the hint, Korean Soccer Player, Manchester United, or Soccer
This can even be done with words on the board, like writing "School Bus" on the board and not letting them use the words "Yellow" or "Vehicle."

This thread alone has been a great way for me to start of all my lesson with a round or two before starting my lesson. I changed some pics here anf there but it has been very very helpful and my boys loved all the hot seat games so far. Thank you for this thread..whoever started this.

Thanks so much for this lesson, my third graders really got into it and it was hilarious to watch them try to describe some of the words!
