Here are the lesson plans for this unit.  Available for current and Windows 97-2003.  *Just a note, the docx file takes up a lot less space and is faster to download.

Grade 5 Lesson 3: Where's Scooby?
« Reply #7 on: April 12, 2010, 03:47:17 pm »
Here is a powerpoint to practice: in, on, under, over, in front, and behind.  Scooby Doo is first hanging around a box, and then travels around the world.
It is available in ppt and odp.

I plan on having them use a full sentence, "Scooby is under it."

Here's a mini book the students can make and glue the cat where it says around the box.  There's a powerpoint to show how to create the mini book so students can follow along step-by-step.  Another thing you can do with this is once the students have created the mini book, have them write the sentence that goes with the picture.
ex.  The cat is _______ the box.  *Available for Windows 97-2002 and 2007.

Here's a game where students have to arrange the cutouts (in the.doc) to match the directions from a Powerpoint slide, advanced board game style.

scavenger hunt activity.

i put up these pics all around the classroom, so the kids could practice the target vocabulary.

you can modify whatever you want according to the vocabulary list your students are studying.

for each problem, there are two objects (e.g. 2 pencil cases). but, only the one depicted on the worksheet is correct. so students have to look carefully at the pictures before writing their answers.

hope this helps.

we had a lot of fun with the scavenger hunt today.  i pretended i lost my watch, then asked the kids if they had seen it.  they were concerned.  then i opened this ppt and told them i lost all of these other things (including my house key, doll, and goat).  it was fun.  coteacher loved it.  the scavenger hunt is highly recommended!

Here are my 'lesson plans' / materials for this unit. Sorry the lesson plans aren't in a very good format, my school is happy for me to just have them as notes for myself.

Sorry for any duplication of materials borrowed from other people on waygook, and thanks for originally posting them!
