Speed Quiz
« on: April 12, 2011, 10:00:39 PM »
Break the class up into teams.  Have two students sit with their backs to the screen and the remaining team members must speak in English to describe the picture or people on the PPT.  Once the seated person says the word, move on to the next slide.  Set a timer for whatever amount you choose, and you can also have the students rotate in and out of the chairs for each new slide.

Type 'speed quiz for korean students #1' and '#2' in google search engine and there are another two which have been made.  I can't claim credit as I was told by another teacher from last years winter camp.

They really work well with 3rd graders after exams....

I have one student (with stature in class) do the scoring.  If other teams are being noisy or shout out the answer when it's not their turn then he/she can give minus points.  This helps control the rest of the class whilst your busy with changing the slides, listening for the correct answer....
