Here is my lesson for Lesson 3, Part 2, page 50 & 51.
I have a rather high level class and an active co-teacher.

I have a warm up where students ask "what do you prefer?"
Then we review new vocab
Then we do the textbook pages and I have a fill in the blank for them to listen to the dialogues.

Then we play a Disney themed would you prefer, (it's just like would you rather?)
I made slides from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tpyg9Q9AjiQ

Then I ask the students to make their own what would you prefer question and share it with the class.
Any time after that they can do a word search.

I printed the dictation and the word search double sided

Lesson 3 Part 1:
Someone posted an advice adventure game so I just tweaked it a bit to fit the key expression.

Lesson 3 Part 2:
Someone made a newlywed hotseat game so I used that same concept. This one requires a good amount of prep. I used plain printer paper inside a clear plastic file with board markers. One set for each of the people up front. One set for each of the teams. You also need to have good class control for this one.

Uploading a PowerPoint, word search, and worksheet.

Week One: Focused on "Could you recommend...?" Did page 48. Planned on playing apples to apples but we never made it.

Week Two: Reviewed the first part of the powerpoint. Learned about "Would you prefer...?" Did page 49. Played musical chairs. I told the students to make their own "Would you prefer" cards and then the loser at musical chairs had to pick a card and answer the question. My students really loved this. They also did a word search.

Week Three and Four: Review of both page 48 and 49. Played apples to apples. Didn't work so well. My students got kind of wild. They did the assignment but there was a lot of talking not pertaining to the subject. They also did a worksheet mingling activity I'll attach. Also did page 50 and played apples to apples.

This lesson is on CEOS. They are given 8 well known CEO's in the USA and must make a new product using their skills.

The time to deliver this lesson should be way over, but I have nothing better to do for desk warming days.  :cheesy: This lesson focuses on the following key expressions:

I recommend Tim's Restaurant. // I'd prefer waffles.

  • Grade3Review3: This PPT is a combination review of Lessons 1, 2 and 3. The first half of the PPT has an old TV show game (The Newleywed Game) but my students understood the game better if I described it as a telepathy game (luckily telepathy in Korean is 텔레파시). The second half of the PPT is a Running Sentences activity that worked wonders with my low level students.
  • RunningSentencesReview': This is a Word Doc with the sentences I had my students do for Running Sentences. One of the sentences has my name in it, so I would suggest changing that haha. Also, most students do not know the word "weird", fun fact.

I give any and all credit to previous waygookins for their materials I used for these documents as well.
English: where read and lead don't rhyme, read and lead don't rhyme, but pony and bologna do.
