Worksheets and a One Piece PPT Bomb game for Lesson 7 pages 120 & 121.

The Bomb game was done in a rush, so it may not be the most aesthetically pleasing.

Day 1 Lesson 7= For the first day back I spent about half of the class time talking about vacations, sharing with the students what I did (you will need to delete the slides of my trip) and having them share theirs with me. They really liked to share what they did, even though most of them slept and played computer games. I start Lesson 7 Listen and Talk 1 introducing vocab and the first key expression. My advanced class was able to get through all the slides; my lower class I cut out some of the vacation discussion.

Day 2 Lesson 7= I am going to brainstrom a better review game for this day, but till then, here is the PPT I have. I start with a Mr. Bean at the movies and then comprehension questions, some practice then Listen and Talk 2 and Put-it-Together.

Blazing Pens. Unscramble the words. Let me know if I screwed up any of the mixed words. I'm going to use the ppt above to go with it. It's for the second part / pages 122/123 because I used some sentences from those pages (as well as pages 121/122).

EDIT: I screwed up the restaurant slide. Forgot "there". I've updated and re-uploaded.

I've uploaded writing exercises which I then have them speak aloud when finished. It's an Excel sheet with each exercise for pages 102 and 103. Page 103 exercise is on the second tab. Edit the vocabulary as needed. I print these out and cut in half to save on paper.

I'd say my third graders are intermediate-advanced.

Hello everyone!
I teach straight out of the book, but I have more freedom to make a ppt and talk about it more, give examples and other ways to say certain things.

There are two days of lessons here.

Day 1: Nationality, Nationality Bingo, and Bollywood (I am Indian, so I talked about Bollywood and showed the students some trailers. You can skip this one if you know nothing about it.) Bingo takes about 20-25 minutes. You can easily change the countries or add more to make it harder.

Day 2: Book work/notes and practice and Mario Bomb Game

When students practice together, after about 2 minutes, I pick random student numbers and have those partners stand up to present for candy. My classes are the original homeroom students, so I have no way to make this into a higher or lower level class, but im sure many of you can change it around.

I have also attached the games I made for the students.

In Nationality Bingo, students must change country names to their nationalities, i.e. Korea to Korean, Canada to Canadian. Spelling must be right. I do not help them with the nationalities, they must try their best to help each other with what they know. First team to finish their page goes first.

Bomb Game incorporates Nationality and Bollywood.

Hey y'all here are two lessons for this chapter. I diverged from the book a little for lesson one to talk about opinions and expressing opinions about movies and other stuff because I thought that would be more useful. The second lesson is going over vocabularly students would primarily use at the movie theater. There is ticket conversation game built into the second presentation (adapted from an earlier post). There is also a scattegories game for the second lesson but I barely had enough time to play the ticket convo game. Also want to give a big shout out to my friend and other waygooken co-worker who put together 95% of lesson two :D

PS: You can youtube search the trailers and use the site: KeepVid to convert them to MP4s. Be sure to have them in the same folder as the presentation.

VERY simplified, since my 3rd graders have already wrote exams...........

I had a really decent ppt for both part 1 and part 2 but my USB died and I lost the final versions of both of them T-T

But for the sake of having ideas, here is my rough drafts.

Part 1, don't bother with the beginning part of the ppt, just look at the game portion. I'm not including the audio clip - too lazy. But basically, play a part of an audio from a movie scene. Give them a # of tickets. And they must write the key expression and guess the movie name.

Part 2, I only have the inital game that I took from another waygookin (thanks!). Change the category to be: "Are there any other -----?"
I played how the original poster played it. Except when a team knew an answer, they raise their hand. I stop showing them any letters. And then I make everyone write down their answers.

Movies Battleship
Make the students choose three movie times and basically their partner has to find which ones they chose.

If it's the right one they should say "ok, here you are"
If its not the right one they should say" sorry we're sold out". First one to find all the circled times wins the game.
