My co-teacher asked me to make some grammar games as a beginning of the year English review. The first one is nouns and verbs (Middle School Grade 2), and the the second is for verb-noun derivations (Middle School Grade 3).

Both games went very well! The instructions are in the ppt. It was a good way to get all the students involved and also practice writing/speaking. Once showing the slide, I would give them 10 seconds so they could discuss with their team if they needed help.

After each round, I would also ask the class if they knew the (past/present/future) tense of some of the verbs on the screen, as well as the plurals of the nouns.
