I made a worksheet with blank faces for a listening activity and it was well-received by the students at the school where I presented it.

I described three different faces and they had to draw them (i.e.:  She has long blonde hair, small blue eyes, a small pink mouth, and a big nose).  They had very amusing interpretations.

I've stolen a lot of stuff from previous posts and adjusted it a bit.  So HUGE thanks to everyone.

I combined two of the drawing games to make a silly, reading-based drawing game. "Shirt hair" is not a typo-my kids kept writing it and thought it was incredibly silly when I drew a person with "shirt" hair.  I used this during Section 6.

I then made a 'Monster Drawing' activity.  It has a worksheet and a ppt.  It takes a whole class period to do.  I recommend have set amounts of time for each part to make sure that one student doesn't spend 40mins on step 1. My translations probably suck, so if you have a CoT, get them to look at the worksheet.  Partners were randomized by drawing numbers (or you could do in order of who finishes first). My students had so much fun with this. It also practices a sh*t-ton of skills.

And finally, I made a snapchat filter ppt to use as an intro and to practice "He/She looks like a______"

Here is a Guess Who game I made using the pictures and names introduced in the book.

My idea was that the teacher reads out the descriptions and the students call out when they know the answer.
