Super Luigi English Game - Download from Google Drive
Dawson Powell - March 2015
*This game is compatible with PowerPoint 2010 and newer.
You can use PowerPoint 2007 to make your game, but please download PowerPoint Viewer 2010 to play it. *

Story
This is an upgrade to my Super Mario English Game, starring everyone’s favorite “little” brother. It tells the “true” story of how Luigi saves the day but Mario always jumps in at the last minute and takes all the glory.

How to Play
You can play this game the regular way “bomb” games are played, but I like to have all the teams answer the question by writing on a whiteboard. Every correct answer earns one point, and the current team can choose a prize on top of that point. If the current team answers incorrectly, no prize box is opened. This method is useful for keeping all of the teams involved throughout the game.

The new “Luigi’s Mansion” section is sure to be fun, and there is also Nabbit, a character that discourages and punishes wrong answers by stealing a point from every team that answers incorrectly. Everything is explained during the game, so no need to worry about remembering a bunch of stuff. But if you do have any questions there are notes underneath the slides.

Technical Concerns
This game has been designed to work with PowerPoint 2010, PowerPoint Viewer 2010, and PowerPoint 2013. However, PowerPoint Viewer will not support the Flash dice found in part of the Luigi’s Mansion game, so please prepare a physical die.  Editing this file in PowerPoint 2007 and playing it in PowerPoint Viewer 2010 works perfectly fine. Be sure to install the two included font files before opening the PPT.The file size is quite large at 76MB, but it plays very smoothly. The file has been saved as read-only so that you don't overwrite the original template.

I put a lot of time and effort into this, so I hope it is useful to you and loved by your students!

this looks something that I'd be interested in looking at, but you didn't post the game!

can you post or link to where we can download?

cheers! 8)
So you want to be real artists. It's okay. I can sell that angle. But you two have to go all the way. One of you has to lose an ear!

The title up top "Super Luigi English Game - Download from Google Drive" is a hyperlink to the Google Drive file. Unfortunately, the file size was too large to post here.

Hi powelldr :)
This game looks awesome, Thanks!

I'm not sure if it's just my computer or not, but anytime I click on the skull on the question slide or the green 'L' flag on the item slide in the game, it automatically closes the game out of presentation mode.

Don't worry, it's just that you MUST start the presentation from the first slide, the one that asks you how many teams there are. Starting it from anywhere else will cause the problem you are running into.
