MODS: Have you given up on enforcing jobs postings?
« on: March 16, 2015, 10:55:31 AM »
Hi mods and others who might be curious. I have noticed that a year or two ago, Waygook.org was in an uproar over jobs saying "female only" or "Americans only." From what I remember, it was updated into the TOS, however, every time I look at the jobs section for shits and giggles, I notice that there are still tons of jobs that are discriminatory. Has the TOS been revised to exclude this?

Not sure why an employer shouldn't be able to ask for specifically what they are looking for in an employee.

Isn't that much better than the alternative?

I just hate the people who spam post jobs. If they are looking for a 38-22-40 female between ages 21-29 and 5'9-5'11, I have to admire that they know what kind of teacher they are looking for. Allows the rest of us not to waste our time.

When you post a "jobs wanted" ad, should you just be able to say, "I want a job."?

Being more specific, would be discriminatory towards employers, but silly and a waste of time for everyone involved.
