lesson 4 part 1 is something I  thru together. I was trying to think of something exciting to do but nothing really came to mind. If anyone has something to post for part 2 i can't wait to see it, I haven't started my lesson 4 part 2 yet. In the mean time hopefully this will work for someone.

Listen & Speak 1

I'm uploading an activity worksheet.
Students are to survey their classmates and then play Human Bingo.

Instructions*
1. Students write 4 questions of their own in the grey boxes.
2. Students ask each other their opinions by answering the question:
Example:
A: "How do you like your English teacher?"
B: "I like her. She is funny."
3. Students write down each others answers and their names.
4. Once all students completed the worksheet, the teacher will play Human Bingo by randomly calling on names of students in the classroom. Four names in a row wins.

*My students took very long to write their questions as well as getting answers for them. If your students are low level, maybe you should have less boxes so that the Bingo board is 3x3.

Listen & Speak 2

I'm uploading my PowerPoint presentation and game.

This lesson was about "Asking Permission" (허가 요청). For the game, students have to ask each other permission to do something, that's really silly (like a dare), then respond.

Instructions
1. Students play the Nunchi (눈치) game. One by one students stand up and say a number starting from 1.
2. If two students stand up at the same time and call out the same number they are to play rock-paper-scissors.
3. The winner chooses a number on the screen. The loser must ask the winner permission using the incomplete sentence on the screen.
Example:
(On the screen: ~hold your hand)
Loser: Do you mind if I hold your hand?"

4. The winner must answer the question. If no, they should reply:
Example:
Winner: I'm sorry, but I do. + [Reason 이유]
Winner: I'm sorry but I do. I don't want you to.

    If yes, they should reply:
Winner: No I don't mind. And they have to DO it.
5. When the the students finished, the class starts over again playing the Nunchi game.

This game was really enjoyable and got the students to quickly learn how to respond to the question because they were so eager for their friends to do something embarrassing!

Here's a good video to show for excuses.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrRzcSwSvcA

It's Dave, the Korea speaking American guy. Love him or hate him, the students really enjoy his videos.
