I only teach the phrases in Talk 1 and Talk 2 AND I have an all boys middle school.

Anywho, these are legitimately two of the ppts I worked the hardest on and the lessons I am most proud of.  Both took a long time but I'm pretty happy and proud with how they turned out.

Talk 1 - "What do ____ need", etc.
I did the PPT to teach and then to practice the phrase they did a game where it was the apocalypse and they needed to be the last person alive.  I wrote a list of random items and cut them up into papers.  I then randomly pulled out five items for each student.  They needed to use the phrase to barter for different items.  Each item was worth different points that I didn't reveal to them until the end.  The person with the most points was the last survivor.  They liked it.

Talk 2 - "How do you like?"
I interviewed my own friends on random questions and the students guessed their answer.  Some people sent in videos and I put that into the slide so some slides are formatted a bit differently for when the video was to pop up.  I took out all of the personal friend videos, pictures and names since I am sharing it on here.  You can always put your own friend's photos in where Kate Bosworth is (a random generic headshot I used as a placeholder for you haha).  Edit the questions and answers as you wish.  Basically, it's a pretty well put together template for you.  They also liked it.  It was interesting also, to see who they were impressed by, thought was pretty, or whose answers shocked them (like my one girl friend who loves video games and sent a video of her with all of her video games).

This is the video I embedded at the beginning of the Talk 2 PPT to introduce the interviews.

Good luck!

I teach the real life zone towards the end of the unit and hope this helps anyone else who is doing the same get some ideas or just steal it either way. This PPT isn't yet to be tried and tested so if used please let me know how it went.

Edit: I have finally used this ppt and though it can be a bit dry/tricky for lower levels its great for cross teaching. The only major problem is that it tended to run short leaving me with nothing to do so I created a review game that went down like a riot. Link below.
