I wish I had this when I taught this before - but here's for other teachers next year,

it's a favorite things superhero theme game - like the telepathy kind but spiced up.
Kids loved it and I guess you could have them writing it down too, if you want,
see full post and preview slides plus download for free here: http://mrsbaiasclassroom.blogspot.kr/2015/11/superhero-guessing-game-whats-your.html

Happy teaching ;D

Simple Snakes and Ladders speaking game, adapted from another user's post to suit this lesson.

This is for period 3.

Instead of doing the game in the book (they are just awful right?!), I will have my students create schedules and guess one another's schedules.

1. Print the attached form (5 schedules per page) and give one schedule to each student.
2. Have them fill out the schedule writing one class per day.
3. Students will do rock, paper, scissors to see who starts off:

Dialog: A:Do you have art on Monday? (Student picks a subject and a day)
B: Yes I do. (Student gets one point and can guess again)/ No I don't. (Take turns)

Most points wins.
Here is one with more per page

I'm just starting this lesson, so I'll upload more later as I go. For those of you who have unpredictable CTs, this lesson will help once you approach Part 3. I never know what I'm teaching, which part, if I'm doing it all, or nothing at all, so this should help if you're in the same boat.

5.4.3 Story 2 Comprehension Quiz + Read Aloud
These are some questions to ask in addition to the kids filling in the blanks with the dialogue.

For Read Aloud, I usually do the PPT first and have them practice with some examples. Then I do the book. To stretch it, if needed, I ask individual students to give me their own answer and that usually kills time and makes them practice.

For Talk and Talk, I have the kids listen and then practice the dialogue with a partner, then I choose kids to practice in front of their peers.

The game I chose for this section was the Pirates game posted earlier. Thanks for that!

5.4.4 Read Around Us
This is a lesson for part 4. It goes through every part of the chapter (Reading Around Us, Read and Talk, Read and Write)

The game I used was the Plants Vs. Zombies. Cheers for that.

5.4.6 Story Pot
PPT starts with a motivation portion where the kid guess where the person is going based on their clothing. Then I wrote out the script for Story Pot so we can do listen and repeat after we watch the story (instead of using the CD as it's too fast for some of my kids.) I also have random students read each line to practice. After that is a comprehension quiz with 7 questions, the 7th question being "make your own sentence." I added in the Part B portion of the Read and Do so the kids can follow along with me.

Two Truths and a Lie

Give students examples about me - they must work out which is not my 'favorite' thing.

Then give students time to think of three sentences using
"My favorite ____ is _____." or "I like _____." and have the other students guess which is the lie.

mgviola91 posted this running and writing game from Lesson 3: Write Like the Wind. It's currently both my and my students' favorite game, and is essentially a mash-up of the Fruit Salad game + Telepathy. English instructions in the ppt, with a bit of Hangul to explain the most confusing part. Also, don't let your kids run with pencils! Let em grab their pencils after finding a new seat.

I also edited niamh92smith's Two Truths and a Lie to help out my mid-range/low level students by including hangul translations. Was still too hard for my low levels, but perfect for the high and mid level students.
