Here is my power point, make your own comic dialogue, board game, and my co-teacher's dialogue and word search worksheet. The power point explains everything you and your students need to know to play the game with a tutorial. Also, please look through the ppt before you show it in class. I have automatic changes in there so if you push next the students will see the answers. I will be adding a cryptogram later as well so check back for an update. Best of luck with your teaching!

Here's a great Treasure Hunt game that my co-teacher modified from one on Indie School. There is a power point that goes with it that tells exactly what you need to do to play the game. In order to play, you need to prepare one set of cards and papers for each group. For my classes we played with six groups of four or five students. They loved this activity! At the end, the top two groups received a little pirate coin candy and the other groups that finished received a small candy.

Second is a cryptogram which my students were really interested in. They were the most focused I have ever seen them. I am also including a step by step tutorial on how to do this as well. Once I explained it with the ppt, my students got started right away without too much help needed... definitely better than my middle school kids when I tried it with them. The sentences are modified phrases from Lesson 8 and 9 so this could be used as a good activity for the writing section or the wrap up.

Best of luck teaching everyone!

Here is a PPT I created for the 1st period.  It explains the key expressions and get Ss to practise using them.

Then we did "Look and Listen", followed  by a Pass the Ball game (also in PPT).  For PTB, use 2 balls and get 1 S to ask the question and the other to answer with the first one's name.  It gets quite funny using two balls and the kids went crazy.

I also used the "Whose Puppy Is It?" song at the start of the class which went down well.
