I have yet to teach this but I did a food based lesson last year with my old textbook and these activities worked really well...

Dubbing or voiceover lesson - students are given scripts based on topic and then have to practice. After, a silent video that matches the scripts is projected and the students must act as the voice over actors -always fun, I have done it with grade 6 "I have a headache" lesson this year as well. The videos and scripts are at the link : http://mrsbaiasclassroom.blogspot.kr/2014/05/dubbingvoice-overs-amazing-way-to.html

This is a simple template for writing their scripts in food shaped papers: http://mrsbaiasclassroom.blogspot.kr/2014/05/topic-food-glorious-food-project-idea.html

This is a restaurant role play lesson and design your own menu lesson which I plan to do, I did it for an after school class and it was fun: http://mrsbaiasclassroom.blogspot.kr/2014/12/at-restaurant-esl-role-play-free.html

Happy Teaching!

Planning on using this ppt tomorrow for Class 3. It's just the vocab/sentences that are on page 202, plus pictures. Then I prepared a Sentence Relay game, where I wrote ten sentences on pieces of paper and will put them around the room. The students will work in groups of four, taking turns reading the sentence, speaking it to the group, and writing it down. Groups that get the most sentences correct, win.

Also, is it just me or is this literally the worst book? I feel like the English is VERY "Koreanized" .... thank god there's only one lesson left!

Writing practice

These are pictures of food that students cut out and color...then write about it (or vice versa). Pretty straightforward.

I was not surprised that there was not much in the way of games for this topic. I had a sneaky suspicion that there wouldn't be. So I borrowed someone's Super Mario Bomb game so that others can at least have something in the way of speaking. Thanks to the original owner for the template.
It is a pretty complicated one with lots of hyperlinks so I would recommend playing around with it before use in class just to figure out how to play. I had to delete a few instructions along the way but the slides that are special ones still have instructions intact.
Usually you just need to click on the speech bubbles or the mushrooms to navigate to the main menu. But there are exceptions to the rule which is why I suggest playing around. Hope you enjoy.
