Just a simple game I made.  Two teams. I rang a bell and the students turn around to see a word in Korean and the first to say the word in English wins a point for their team. My students loved it! Happy Teaching!

Another game I used for this lesson as well. Bingo City Game! I changed it a bit from 5th grade so thank you to the creator. :)

Motivation videos. 2 Just for Laughs Gags (ugh, for me, but they enjoyed them).

My intro ppt to go over the vocab.

Some activities edited from old Grade 5 threads from when those books had lessons on directions.

Save the Princess! game. Students need to volunteer to give directions. Some of my classes were more shy towards giving directions.

Blind Maze game. I'm going to print a dot grid on some scrap paper (last slide) to help them draw their mazes.

Really liked the Save the Princess Game. I'm uploading my updated version for anyone who's class needs a bit more visuals to understand directions or needs more details. Mine did. Thanks again!

Nice update. Again, I didn't make the original, so I don't want much credit. My students had a lot of fun with it this year (more than last year). I also recommend using a random number generator to pick the students roles. Getst more than just the regular confident students raising their hands. I had students volunteering suggestions who rarely speak up.

I made this "Truth or Lies: Detective Game" for the lesson. Basically, there are 6 teams of four. Two students are detectives, one student tells a lie and one tells the truth. Detectives go to each group, listen to the directions, and have to mark what they think is the correct location on the map. This is for a class of 6 groups. Worked very well!!

Lesson 6 - Period 6
One Piece Review Game

Thank you to the OP for this AMAZING PPT game/template - edited for this lesson, about 30 questions.

I also didn't realize how much the kids (2016) loved One Piece. There's a note in the PPT that wanted poster characters have no value and the points are chosen at random, but I didn't tell the kids. They were psyched to know who they were ^^

Also, (for us) bomb = team gets zero points. Nuclear = everyone gets zero points. We did 6 teams (their groups) and everyone had a lot of fun!

Enjoy!

Presentation

This is a step by step presentation of the main language needed for the unit, leading up to an information gap activity in lesson 2. It also includes a guessing game and a dice game for pattern drilling. Some of this material was made for open class, so it's a bit more polished than usual.

Made this a s a simple filler activity for the end of period 4.

Haven't done this activity in class just yet but i plan to get one kid to come to the boared and with already printed out pictures of the places they have to place them according to the description.

Only 5 slides because i give candy to the student who comes up and does it correctly and.... i got to many classes to be giving out to much candy haha.
Hope some gets some use out of this

Here are some of my materials:
Vocab intro with good gifs and games at the end including vanishing pictures and matching.
Place your bets game, a student favorite. With instructions.
Map game - this is a quiz game where students choose a place from the map and answer the question (e.g. where is the coffee shop?, or Give directions from the police station to the pizza parlor) for points.  The place then disappears from the map, i.e., the map is the selection screen.
English Espionage game, students love this too.  They have to decode secret messages and work with other team members to get them written on their whiteboard. The conceit is they are trying to meet with a secret agent. Full instructions included.
I also have some PPTs to review prepositions:
Preposition Park where students complete sentences about a gif file of a dinosaur, mostly from the Jurassic Park franchise.
Another review, focusing on prepositions of movement with humorous or unusual gifs.
Finally, preposition Chase the Vocab, not sure who adapted this one.

Hey everyone,

Due to a lack of decent buildings clipart on the internet, I decided to draw my own.  Here's a zip file with the buildings used in the key expression as well as a few extras.
