My co-teacher is in the hospital, so I'm going solo. The ppt has it as a group game, but if you have a rowdy class, you can easily make this a solo game. I had one class just use their notebooks. They were still entertained because of the videos.

Basically, you ask a question (on the ppt). The kids write their prediction, and then you show them the answer (a video). You may need to install the quicktime plugin for windows if the videos don't play.

Edit: I forgot to mention...The videos are already embedded into the ppt. I'm not sure if that will work on your computer, so I included the clips. Most are from the show "man vs beast". A couple from Korean variety shows. The kids get a kick out of it. (esp the Rain vs. Jongkook one lol)

I did not make any of the rest of these materials, I am just reposting for other people's convenience. Huge credit and props to the original creators. I think this is a really cool and fun project to do along with this lesson.

Categories game. Students pick a letter A, B, C, or D. Then in groups, roll a dice twice to choose two photos to compare. They have one minute to write as many sentences as they can in their notebooks as a group.
After a minute, each group must give their best or funniest answer.

Here's a speed reading game I'm going to use. Cut out & give each student their own little square with a different sentence on it. Each should lead to the next one where it's the same verb being compared, but you/I are switched, so each student is reading two sentences to continue the sequence.

On the board I like to write what the first and last sentences are, and time the class, maybe giving them a target to earn a prize. There's different ways you can play it though I'm sure. Just have a complete & uncut page of your own for reference, especially if class numbers are a little different than you expected and you have to get rid of a sentence or two. Don't break the chain!
