Hey guys! I just did my first round of Halloween lessons today. Note: My learners in general are pretty low-level
For my Grade 4
Handed out the worksheet. Played https://youtu.be/03u6m0XzZUA and ran out of the classroom to change into my costume. After, we went over the worksheet, I showed the slideshow. Then, we did a charades game, I cut up my own worksheet with the words written in. It was two teams against each other in a type of speed rally.

Grade 6
Asked what day it is today and what it is tomorrow. Explained how Thriller is a very popular Halloween song. Played Michael Jackson  "Thriller" with Korean subtitles (the kids really enjoyed it). http://blog.naver.com/minji801/50159874187 I changed into my costume as they were watching the video. I used the slideshow to explain Halloween (I was really animated). After, handed out the worksheet, and wrote them down together. We played speed rally charades with two teams. If there was time left, they did a word search.

So, the worksheet attachment is from Gr.3-6, but for low level. You can do multiple things with the worksheet, so use it however you like.
For Grade 3, I used a different slideshow and after, they will color jack o'lanterns instead of the other activities.
For the slideshows, I used pictures of myself when I was in grade school, the students loved it.

HALLOWEEN Action Board Game!
Use with dice or coins :)

Ideally for 3rd or 4th grade, but can be used for any..

We are currently studying "How much is it?" and "It's 200 won", hence the treats with prices.
You can easily change the pictures, and/or the dialogue practiced.

Also, you can have the game take longer/go faster by adding in some snakes & ladders..

templates found here and questions go with intro ppt. questions are the same in both ppts because my students are low level. The difference is the ppt for 3 and 4th is cute and the ppt game for 5 and 6 is scary.

I edited down a trick or treat song from youtube (https://ww w.youtube.com/watch?v=kt319a0GkCc). It's probably suitable up tp 4th grade, I think it would be too easy for 5th/6th.  There is not any hard vocab/grammar practice, just a good way to kill 15 minutes. I wanted to do a more detailed Halloween lesson but my co doesn't let me go off-book much :(

1. Have coteacher explain a bit about Halloween.
2. Play song.
3. Practice lyrics, go over unfamiliar vocab.
4. Split class into a few groups and have them sing the song, if they do well they can get a candy.

P.S. Last year for my club activity I actually arranged for the kids to go to a few classrooms and sing this song to the teacher to get candy. I was a hit!! Can't do that this year but maybe keep it in mind for next year.
