This power point focuses "I'm interested in _____." and "Do you want to be a ________?".  I will make another ppt for "I'm sure" since it is the other main part of the lesson.

For the activity, all the students write down one of their interests and what they want to be.  Then the first person in the class will read what they wrote out loud, the next person will have to read their own paper and recite what the previous person said, the next person will read their paper and recite what the previous two people said, and so on and so on

Here's a lesson for "What are you interested in?", and "I'm interested in...".

Listen and Speak 1

Start off with pictionary (cards found on here) and ask the class what we will be doing.
Do the book work then we do hot seat - I found this in another thread for hobbies but I made some changes. I usually split the class into 2, with one person from each sitting in front of the screen. I let the students say associated words or for them to act out the interests.

To guess I ask the students in the hotseat to raise their hand and say "I'm interested in..."

Listen and Speak 2/Conversation

The Sentence Relay game: I used sentences from the books and broke it down to 5 parts.
2 teams (of 5) line up to the board. I give out the post-its (in random order) and they have to take turns to write down their word on the board. Make sure that they do not show the paper to their team. The last person has to write the sentence in the correct order. Usually I manage to do up to 8 sentences.

Elimination game - 2 teams still, ask 5 people from each team to stand up. Each player has to read a sentence. Behind it is either: X or O. The former means sit down, the latter gets a point for your team.

Then we do Bingo (I do 5) then second round I ask a student to read. These bingo cards cover Lesson 4 and 5.

For part 1. the card game is a simple find and match. the kids should flip each paper and say the sentence that matches it (you'll probably have to walk around to enforce this part)

For part 2 its hot seat. You have the job names. They should give clues by using the key expressions ( You are good at running , etc). I set two mins per team. The one with the most wins. if they figure all out, then the fastest time.

Worksheets for both parts for extra practice.
