i did a simple lesson with this story this past week.
we read together (with students as characters and myself as the narrator), then i gave them one page to translate with a partner, then the partners read their page in english and their translation.
i happened to have the original book, so i scanned all the pages to make things more interesting as the artwork for this story is well done.
i made a few files to present them in class.  some i was able to convert to pdfs, but for some the formatting was ruined.  to display effectively in word, set the view to 'page width', and then use the fullscreen option in the view menu.

here they are, along with the fonts i used so it'll look nice on your machines as well.

Growing up reading Robert Munsch books, I've always wanted to implement them in my class.  This story was one of my favorites.

I have a bunch coming in from Canada in September (I told my school to buy 15 Munsch books, and they did so without hesitation), but seeing the way you set up this lesson gives for an awesome template on how to teach these books.
