This is a memory game.

It is designed to help students learn particular grammar patterns in English--to get the grammatical structure in their bodies through memory.

HOW TO PLAY:

(1) Flip through the slides and have students learn what each acronym stands for.
(2) Have the students parrot back to you the "full acronym" from memory, in each slide where the meaning of each acronym disappears.
(3) At the culmination of this PPT, students will attempt to recite from memory all acronyms for the 13 people. Winner gets a prize or a hearty congratulations. Whichever you prefer.

This is a game only a sadist could love. Mwahaha!

Enjoy!

My second graders enjoyed this game.

Will try this on younger students in the future.

Tried this on my middle school class (30 students, mixed-gender), and they enjoyed it, although some students were more advantaged than others. Still, from what I could gather, the students seemed to have had a good time.
