I got the idea for this card game somewhere on waygook.

Basically, it's a reading game. Take a card and read it. If you're right, get a point.
If you take a "Kaboom" card, choose 1 of 2 options:

Option 1: Minus all points.
Option 2: Roll the dice and do a silly punishment. Then, minus all points. Then get 5 bonus points.

My students LOVED this game. They had no problems with unkind teasing, but in case your students are different, make sure they know that everyone is allowed to choose Option 1 with NO hassle from other students. And Option 2 should be done with a lighthearted, fun spirit.

Fun musical crossword. The songs contain the crossword words and students listen to the song then fill in the blank with the word.

The second section has the words filled in but students have to match the song with the filled in word.

The kids loved it. I did it for 10-1, but I would maybe suggest only doing that if the kids catch on quick. For slower classes it's a good 10-4 (writing) activity.
