~*~THE ULTRA SUPER-CONTINUUM GAME~*~
« on: August 31, 2015, 02:38:11 AM »
Students are given a list of words that range from the least-severe to the most-severe.

The students are given 1 minute to rearrange the words in a continuum.

Students are then provided with the answers, in picture form.

Enjoy!

Even with the several mistakes that I left inside this powerpoint, I had a lot of success with it. The students were engaged and there were several opportunities for me to teach new vocabulary to the students (such as the difference between "wise" and "brilliant" and where on the spectrum "mutter," "murmur," and "whisper" fit.

This was successful for both first and second grade high school boys.

p.s.

I have made the corrections to the original file and there should be no more errors in the PPT.

p.p.s.

Some of the words are debatable, so please make sure to stress this in your class when you give it to your high school students.
