Simpsons Worksheets
« on: April 20, 2011, 12:30:17 PM »
I've made a few worksheets for some Simpsons episodes. I usually use them for an extra class at the end of the year, or as a reward if a class has been used as an open class or has just been very well behaved.  Holiday episodes are also pretty good to use. I'll probably be making some Halloween worksheets this year. The thanksgiving one I used during Chuseok.

Part I - Comprehension questions.
Part 2 - They have to listen to the quotes during the video. The first person to raise their hand when they hear it gets a chocolate or a stamp, or apply it to whatever system you're using.
Part 3 - Students put the events in order.

I usually go though the whole worksheet beforehand and ask students to translate into Korean to make sure they understand the questions. We go through the questions at the end of class.

Just a note... be careful with some of the videos. There is some inappropriate content which is sometimes just one split second. I usually just skip over these parts in the player.

This seems like a good idea but is there a way of getting the script for certain Simpsons episodes to give to advanced students?

This looks good but the worksheets are essentially useless here unless you give the exact episode that you made them for. For any one that has followed the Simpsons over the years they know that there are many different Halloween episodes.

Google the names on the worksheet, like "Bart the murderer". Those are the episode names.

By the way, the questions in the "Bart the murderer" worksheet is the same as Stark Raving Dad.
