I've posted this a few times in the lesson plans, but never as a template. So here goes. (You may notice some similarities between this game and my baseball game I posted a few months back.)
For the questions, just copy and paste your own questions or alter the <question> and <answer> on the ppt. Don't change the slide order or delete any slides as this will mess up the game.
World Cup Soccer review game:
The game should be pretty self-explanatory. Divide the class into two teams (boys and girls). Assign a number to each student. Have them take turns. With questions, have the whole team ask the question, then have the student whose turn it is answer. Have them repeat once again before seeing what they get.
Begin the game by placing the ball in the center (just click the circle). To start, have #1 girl and #1 boy stand up and do rock-scissors-paper. The winner begins (e.g. boy wins, takes a turn, then #1 girl takes a turn). Next up, boy #2 and girl #2 stand up and do RPS. Repeat this with all the numbers. Move the ball according to the number of spaces the students get (just click the ball to erase it and click the next circle to have it re-appear; e.g., if the boys team gets "kick 1 space", move the ball one space towards the girls' side; then if the girls get "kick 2 spaces", move the ball 2 spaces toward the boys' side). To get a goal, the ball must advance three spaces on a given side, so when you see the ball inflamed near the goal, they still need one more space to score.
If one team gets a yellow card, the ball doesn't move on their turn. If they get a red card, they lose a turn and the other team gets to go twice in a row. Shootouts, do rock-scissors-paper. If the attacking team wins, they get a point. If the defending team wins, the ball stays where it is. Always put the ball back in the centre following a goal.
Have fun.
