no real motive with the polls, I just hadn't posted in a long time and forgot how to operate the site. I selected start a new poll thinking it was the format for uploading a new document. I was just being stupid with the questions cause I thought I had to fill them out, I can't erase them if they're offensive.

No worries, just thought you wanted people to answer them. lol. I am not sure if I set permissions to allow users to delete a poll once they've been added, but if you'd like me to, I can go ahead. Just let me know.

A cool new game developed by "Rick teacher" (I don't know his full name). Much respect to Rick for the creativity and time needed to create a new twist on the old "bomb" game. All I did was adapt it for this lesson.
A couple of things: 1. Since there are no numbers/letters to choose questions, I just had the students come to the TV and point out the question mark they chose and I clicked on it. 2. The smiley face means "Yes, it is." The demented looking smiley face means "No, it isn't. Played a version with my 6th grade students and they loved it.

Its well made - but also not very well thought over.
Divide the class into 4 or 6 team? There are only 23 arrows to choose from... which is not even (should be 24 or 30 arrows)..
The class students or teacher may become upset by the "fights over Dokdo or east Sea" in which Korea loses and Japan wins Dokdo... a little bit dangerous to play at your school because of that.
The arrows can be changed (they are pics) to numbers..
The tie-breaker is strange - click on it and it just says -2 points ??

No, not perfect, but I've used it and the students and Korean teachers had no problems with the battles. Some teams even cheered for Japan to win the "battles" so their team would win points. It easy to change any of the problems you mentioned, or just not use the game at all. The original game was posted on the Indischool website (a site where Korean teachers post/share lesson plans/ideas) and there were about 25 positive comments from Korean English teachers regarding the game.

1st time poster....felt it was time to give something back
I edited a couple things in the pirate game.
a) changed the "?"'s to vocabulary from the last 2 units
b) fixed the hyperlink for the tiebreaker which now brings it to the correct "bam gi moon" slide
Great games and ideas on this site...thanx!

Hey all,
I just whipped this up and thought I'd share it. It's probably best for practice for period 3 or so.

Just curious, does this now belong in Lesson 8? If so, I'll merge it.

Oh my gosh! The pirate game is super cool. My kids would go wild!
BUT, there is an issue, and i'm not smart enough to know how to fix it. Redeyedjedi's changes are great, but on both versions when you have the "battles" it resets the screen so that all the words (or ? marks) show again. Is this only happening on my version of PPT?
Does anyone smarter than me know how to fix this?
Thanks!
