ANZAC day - April 25th
« on: April 21, 2011, 01:13:23 PM »
Here is a power point I made for ANZAC day on April 25th. There is an information powerpoint and a quiz game. This would be good for Middle school and up.
Good lesson to do for the Aussie and Kiwi teachers :)

Roscopecotrain, this is honestly one of the best powerpoint games I've seen on waygook. I'm always making new games, and this one is really original. The presentation is also very well done, and informative. Thanks for taking the time to share.

GREAT! Fantastic! THANK YOU! I'm going to take in some Marmite and crackers and get my kids to try it...although, i know you aussies are more the vegemite eaters.

Might try and make an Australian Day of it, get them to colour in flags, take in some face paints, and play some hilltop hoods for them. also, do a wordsearch. I'll try and get that done today and post it. would love to include some facts about Australia in that quiz. will try!

Ok, I used this with 2nd year Middle School girls.  It was a great 'extra' lesson to re-sync my timetable (my classes get out of step sometimes due to exams or other timetable changes).

Anyway, the material was pitched at about the right level, and the game was fun.  They liked the scoreboard (and, as a programmer, I appreciated it too).  As well as showing the PPT material I tried to elicit as much as I could about WWI, but they didn't really know that much. Still, I was very impressed at how much they remembered from the presentation when we moved on to the quiz game.

So, thank you very much for sharing!
