This ppt. helps to explain some basics of chaging sentences from the present to the past tense.
example.
What do you want to do? I want to dance.
What did you do yesterday? I went dancing.
and so on and so forth

Hello All,
Can someone post the translated lesson plan, please? And so I can stop bothering everyone, is there a source online where I can obtain the lesson plans in English? Where do you all get them from?

Here's an activity I'm going to use in the second period of this lesson. Listen and repeat gets so boring, so although the students will be doing that, they'll also be playing a game of "Hot Potato." Just play some music from your computer and hit the mute button on the tv remote when you want them to stop passing whatever objects you use (use two).

Hey, I just combined two Pass the Ball games just to make it easier. One had Lesson 13 material, one had sound to play between slides. It took about two minutes, but now that's two minutes of work you won't have to do.

Here's a charades game I've played successfully before. I usually play it as a team speed game. Students must guess the action using the verb tense being practiced.
Before we start the game proper, I usually have a volunteer come to the front and pick a prompt to act out. The rest of the students can raise their hands to guess and the winner gets to come up next. I go through a few rounds like this so the students can become familiar with both the game and the words.
When I'm satisfied everyone understands, I put 20 seconds or so on a countdown timer (like online-stopwatch.com) and have a volunteer from the first team come up. That student then has 20 seconds to get his/her team to guess as many prompts as possible. When the first team is finished, all of the prompts go back into the pile and the next team has a go. This means that there's lots of repetition to help memorization, and also that the students guess more quickly in the second round so that they get higher scores. This generally makes them feel pretty good.
Teams get one point for each past tense verb correctly guessed within the the allotted time. The team whose turn it is can just call out answers, but any team (whether guessing or not) can lose points for being too loud/unruly.

Here's a worksheet, ppt. and Blockbusters game.
My kids are advanced so the question on the game could just be changed to "What did you do yesterday?" instead of the alternating ones I have.

A Halloween game for this lesson. WARNING: Some scary images, but, I've used the game with 4th graders without any emotional damage. Just review it for appropriateness for your class. Thanks to Rick teacher for the great template, and to others from whom I borrowed images and animation.

All the halloween games are great, but teachers need to screen the images they are using. Some are too graphic and many Korean teachers find them offensive and disturbing to the kids. I know of a Native teacher that has been reported to the education department for exposing the kids to graphic visual clips of Halloween images. Run the PPt's by your co-teachers first.

Good advice polkadot21! Every school and co-teaching situation is unique. I have 3 co-teachers and 2 of them asked me to adapt the Halloween games for these lessons, because my other co-teacher told her how much the children in her class enjoyed them. I just posted them on the off chance that someone else could use them, but, as you said, PLEASE review them with your co-teachers before using them.

Their is a problem with the HALLOWEEN game that I discovered this morning. The letters around the tacks are too big and cover the hyperlinks, Quick fix, delete the letters. I will post the corrected version this afternoon. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience!
