Weather Forecast, Grade 5-6
« on: April 22, 2011, 10:09:09 AM »
This is a lesson I used for an after school program open class. Since it's the afterschool program I was flying solo (no CT). The theme is "Let's check the weather forecast" and introduces some weather vocabulary like forecast, temperature, hurricane, heat wave, etc that the students may not be familiar with. I will admit the dialogue section is not the strongest, but I'm sure you can modify it to your needs without too much trouble.

There is an intro PPT, a short worksheet (with a writing sheet for a special student I have in my class), a dialogue, and a Simspons Donut game that I found on another thread and modified for this lesson. I did originally have a word search that I printed but I didn't save it, just to have something for some of the quicker kids to do.

Hope this helps! It's my first time posting materials here, god knows I've downloaded enough from other people.

Here are the Office 2003 versions. I can't guarantee the Simpsons Donut Game will have all the bells and whistles it does in the 2007 version.

Let me know if you get any use out of this :-)
