Hawaii: PPT & Brochure Making Activity
« on: December 17, 2015, 06:04:24 PM »
Hey All,

I've got a new lesson for this week. We're going to be learning about the U.S. state of Hawaii. I've got a presentation, two short videos, and then I made some more realia cards. Instead of creating an itinerary, the students are going to create their own travel brochure for Hawaii. I've attached a template. The idea is to go through the PPT, watch the videos, hand out the laminated realia cards, and then have the students make a Hawaii travel brochure. The students have seemed to really enjoy these lessons that use realia in the past so I hope that this one goes successfully too. I have made all of the materials myself. If you use this please let me know how it goes!

Unfortunately the brochure template could not be printed, because the page margins are too large and  outside of the acceptable range for my school's computers and printers. So I decided to make my own brochure template.

Hello!

I have a question about the brochure activity.  Are the students supposed to make the brochure in English or Korean.

I am asking because on the ppt it says to "create a korean travel brochure." Also, if I give them the realia, wouldn't they just copy the English directly instead of producing original language?

Let me know!
Thank you!
