instructions/ sequencing using Mr. Bean
« on: April 22, 2011, 02:50:00 pm »
I found a good exercise on Esl galaxy for using a Mr Bean vid to teach instructions and sequencing.  I adapted this lesson from that.
Theres no powerpoint, but theres a handout with makes clear what a few of the activities are, plus lesson plan.
I thoroughly recommend bring in a ramen pot and acting out the instructions with the kids - I find they respond very well to visual learning.
here is the link to the video - a classic!

Mr. Bean is my secret weapon of teaching. Plus, I loved Mr. Bean even before I came to Korea so its something both the students and I can enjoy together. Thanks for the materials.

It's a brilliant idea to incorporate Mr. Bean into a class.
Students cannot help laughing. LOL

Hi,

Nice idea. I will try this tomorrow. I have made a straightfroward ppt that matches the OPs worksheet and lesson plan.

Thinking about getting a student to actually make the ramen. I have a kettle in my class!
