Thank you for another amazing lesson. I expect nothing less from you at this point, CliffK!
I converted it into a two week lesson. Feel free to check it out.

Thanks again!
Thanks, and your presentation looks awesome! I'm sure the kids really enjoyed the gifs about armor and stuff that you put in. When I was doing the lesson I was thinking the same thing- that this probably could have been stretched out over 2 weeks.
One thing that I ended up doing part way through was instead of just having the kids share their invention, I handed out Plickers cards (plickers.com). They're cards with QR codes on them, and students can hold them in 4 different ways to represent choice A, B, C, or D. I can use my smartphone to record the students' choices, and the results are displayed live on the TV screen.
After each team team shared their invention, I had the rest of the class rate that invention. (A= amazing, B= very good, C= OK, D= not so good). The live rating of their invention showed up on the TV. It made it more interactive and ensured that the rest of the class paid attention while one group shared. Also, students loved to volunteer and share their inventions because they liked to get voted on.
Anyway, good stuff!
