make letter flashcards, laminate and play with a deck - go fish, pick up the same, rummy etc. Its a fun way to get familiar with phonics

Maybe this can help you out - I've started posting my phonics packs that I use for 1,2 and 3 grades. Includes simple ppts for explanation, worksheets and games. I loosely follow the synthetic phonics method but adapt it to suit my time schedule.
