Extreme Sports Lesson
« on: March 30, 2016, 11:47:25 AM »
Hey all,

I've got a new lesson on extreme sports. The lesson involves the following-

Presentation: Begin the class by giving the students a few minutes to list as many sports as they can think of. Write these on the board. Introduce some extreme sports to the students with a few short videos.

Practice: Have the students create a dialogue/role play.

Production: UNO Extreme Sports card game. This will require some prepwork including printing, laminating, and cutting, but I think it should be a fun way to practice the words.

I'm attaching all materials including the UNO cards, PPT, worksheet, and lesson plan. Hope this is helpful!

This looks awesome! I usually show "People Are Awesome" videos before class starts and my students go nuts for them (middle and high school). This would be a great lesson to pair with those videos!

Edited it a little bit and added a flyswatter game in there for my low level high schoolers. Will probably play pictionary with it as well. Thanks again!

I can say that the powerpoint was useful but I simply didn't have time to do all the intricate cutting out that the uno game involves. I am in an odd situation this week-lots of last minute additions and changes, to my Friday schedule-otherwise the game would have been great. If I had a day's notice.
