After School Readers' Theatre
« on: April 06, 2016, 01:41:49 PM »
I was instructed by my school to do a Readers' Theatre, and the materials for it were issued by the BMOE. Has anyone else been given these materials, too?

After reading through them, there are a lot of mistakes and some of them are a little odd, but the kids should find the ideas fun, at least. I've decided to write out the scripts afresh and change some of the strange stuff. I thought this could be a place we could post some ideas, and if you haven't got the materials for readers' theatre, it might be fun for you to do in your reading club.

The first script is called 'Bora's Dream around the World'. It uses some of the 5th grade 'Where are you from?' and 'What are those?' target language from the Cheonjae book. There was a worksheet to go with it, which I tweaked a bit and started off with a presentation about the Seven Modern Wonders of the World. I then changed the script to include these rather than the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty. You can change the script depending on how many kids you have (I don't have many).

Let's see how this goes!

Here is the original file, with all the scripts and activities in, by the way.

There are some really bloody strange things in there, though, so sift through!
