Made a Chicken Game using the templates.

Is it ok if there is Korean in it?

2. Modified the story ppt from waygook.
sligtely changed to use key expressions from the textbook.

This is a PPT I'm using for the introduction to this chapter. It's very simple as I'm only using the vocabulary from my co-teacher's introductory handout but hopefully it can be of use to some of you out there.

An intro lesson using the sentences 'who's this?' and 'it's my...' ** you will need to add photos because I used photos of my family **

A worksheet ~ matching up pictures and words (and writing them again in the above sentence).

A rock, paper, scissors game ~ winner goes ahead and says the sentence.

Enjoy

A PPT for the second lesson introducing the sentences, 'is this your...?' and 'yes it is' or 'no it isn't'.

Plus a wordsearch.

Enjoy! ;)

I don't remember who created the original Super Mario Game ppt for the 6th graders with a different topic.  However, I knew my 3rd graders would also love this game.  I created this for my 'Open Class.'  My students went wild playing this game!  I sure hope someone else will like it too. Afterall, it took a very long time to put it together, but it was well worth it.

I've already tested it, and found out that I'll have to rearrange the order of the points and pics, just in case any of them wrote down or memorized any parts of it.  I'm playing this again for my final rehearsal for 'Open Class' the next week!  Just ignore the title of this ppt., since I already changed the pics to the textbook ones.  Please, I'd love to hear if anyone else's Ss enjoyed this game too! Enjoy!

Here's a very simple introduction presentation for the first lesson. Decent for low level students like mine.

That RPS game was great!!
My schedule is a bit messed so I actually used it for lesson 2 or 3 depending on the class. I just alternated the questions between "who is this?" and "Is this your...?"

Also, with some classes that are a bit wild, I've found pair work to be difficult. Instead I printed off 3 of the pages and taped them together to make one longer game. I put the longer game up on the board and divided the class into two teams. One player from each team would come to the board. On the count of three the rest of the students would ask the question. Once they answered, the two students would play r-p-s and the winner moved their piece forward. I found that this worked really well. The only trouble was when we ran out of time and some students were sad they didn't have a turn. I guess that's the way it goes with classes of 40...

I made this game board for lesson 6-2.  This is EXACTLY THE SAME as the game recommended in the book, but in game board form instead of card form.  This is so my students can play in pairs instead of groups of 4.  (Our class seating arrangement is not conducive to pair work.)

EDIT:  Added a quick PPT explaining how to play the game, should you feel you need it, as well as a review of the different pictures:  mom, dad, brother, sister, and me.

Hi, thanks to luv2teach for the Mario game. I thought my kids would find it too easy with the limited vocab though, so I added funny pictures and different questions, as well as the "Is this your..." expressions from 2nd period.

In regards to this song, I taught them sign language too. For grandpa and grandma-you just move your hand forward. The other gestures are in the ppt. My students enjoyed it.

This is a little fast, but I think the kids will like the animations  and maybe able to pick out some names for extended family members. (aunt, niece, uncle, etc.)
