Here is a short powerpoint I made with clips for movies with different weather. The last clip is from "Notting Hill" and Hugh Grant is walking through the town while the seasons change. The students should watch the clip and then try to remember what kind of weather they saw; "It's sunny, it's rainy, it's snowy" etc.

Seasons and Weather

With the weather lessons I worked in Seasons and clothes and other vocab too. For the younger kids I gave the seasons coloring in page as well. The other Word document is pictures associated with certain seasons and words. The students had to come to the board, match the image and word and say what season in order to get the two points for their team.

Here's a guessing game where the students guess what the weather is like in various cities around the world. They guess whether it is hot or cold, and how it looks ouside (sunny, cloudy, snowing, etc). I've embedded live webpages for both the city's weather and a live webcam to show the weather conditions in that city.

You will need this plug-in in order for the live webpages to work properly:

http://skp.mvps.org/liveweb.htm

I've included instructions at the end of the PPT on how to install this plug-in and how to enable macros and ActiveX so that the presentation works properly.

If you have any questions or problems, please let me know.

Hope you find it useful!

Thank you so much for sharing. My students keep on asking for this game. We've played it 4 times now and they still want to play it tomorrow (Pokemon has powers I can only dream of). I just keep changing the pictures and questions. :D
