Comic book & Super hero lesson with game
« on: April 28, 2011, 10:43:26 AM »
A two part Power Point on Super Hero's and comic books. A game that involves dice and a worksheet. They can create their own Super hero and have them fight another person or teams super hero. I haven't tested the game yet but it's simple enough. It's designed for low level students. Roll the dice. Add that number to your attack. defender rolls and adds that to their defense. Attack-defense= damage taken. You could just rock scissor paper the game.

It seems like a pretty fun game. Another idea that I used and it seemed to go over very well was a type of Charades game. It was a mixture of beat the clock, hot seat, but the students had to act out different superpowers that had been discussed earlier in the lesson and the other student would try to guess for points. It got the students really excited.

I love the ppt  :P sure takes me back to my youth.
Love the idea for the game as well. Super simple, but is in that amazingly adictive format. Should do the trick for getting my after school class moving.
