It's post-exam week!
I'm doing a music / Top5 game hybrid for my low-level classes (the high levels will be learning the Cup Song, help me). The Top 5 game can be found on this site.
This 25 minute mini-lesson includes dingbats found on this site as well as other various ideas.
The ppt includes a warm up + a 3 part worksheet.
Links to all four Youtube videos can be found in the comment section of the first slide in the ppt.
I didn't write out a lesson plan because this is just for fun, and the ppt is pretty self-explanatory.
Worksheet Part 1: They write their fav English songs (I'm curious).
Part 2. Fill in the blanks of a Taylor Swift song, while watching the video.
I get a volunteer to say the answers for each slide at the end.
Part 3. Speed slap game played with a partner. The example should be played with 2 volunteers in front of the class.
The partners have to slap the music note on their worksheet. They get a point if they hit it first, and minus one point if they hit it at the wrong time. Video 1 has two phrases to listen for, video 2 has three. Any questions, let me know!
Oh yeah, I'm Canadian and my co-workers freaked out when I showed them pics of Justin Trudeau so I included that in the warm-up as well.
