I was pretty confident about doing the lesson plan cos I've almost finished my TEFL course so I was alright....for a while, until I actually read it in detail and that the topic you choose e.g. sports, food, transportation, you'd have to cover five lessons on it 

So you gotta write what you did in the previous lesson and how that links to this one, and then at the end you gotta say what you're gonna do next and how it'll link with the lesson you just did.
 

So... I wanted to do sports (for 4th graders?), but how am I gonna stretch that over 3 potential lessons???

I'm super confused cos when I see the lesson plans for 4th graders using the coursebook there's not this format of using the same topic over 5 LESSONS 
All the advice and help on lesson plans are all based on the main lesson but nothing about the lesson before and the lesson after.

I'm struggling to stretch this topic and create a cohesive flow

Typically the textbooks they use here are 4-6 lessons for one topic/phrase. They cover listening, speaking, reading, writing, and review (in that order). So I'm assuming that is what they want you to cover. I remember when I did my lesson plan and, honestly, it must have been such a mess because I'd never taught before. Things always take way longer than you think they will haha! If they let me in, try not to stress TOO much about the plan. Just do the best you can
