« on: June 30, 2011, 08:44:32 pm »
A good internet site for printable alphabet worksheets and coloring activities is http://first-school.ws/. Good to keep the lower grades occupied.

Another good site if you're lazy and don't want to bother putting in time to create a game is http://www.eslgamesworld.com/. The games are descent and there is a great selection of games.

http://www.mes-english.com/ is really good for printable stuff. Worksheets, flashcards and board games.

The flashcards come in various sizes, the big ones are good for decorating your classroom.

Is there anyway to save threads for future reading?  These all seem really good to keep on hand.

If you're doing any lessons on pronunciation, you might try using this as a visual/auditory reference: http://www.uiowa.edu/~acadtech/phonetics/english/frameset.html ~ I found it the other day and was really impressed with it.

eslHQ.net has some good worksheet makers. They're all pretty simple, but useful all the same. Also, BreakingNewsEnglish.com is a good site for conversation classes.

Ripley's Believe It or Not (http://www.ripleys.com/weird/bion-tv-series-gallery/) has great videos that are about a minute that can be worked into lessons.

http://www.breakingnewsenglish.com/

This is a decent site for current events.  Each article has several projects and exercises to complete.  The two options of easy and hard are a bit limited and the lesson's can be repetitive if they're used for the same class, but it's alright if you're in a pinch.

dreamenglish.com is a great site for songs for elementary school children! They are free to download, and he also has a youtube channel showing the songs with videos. I used the "How's the Weather" song in my 3rd grade class - huge hit!

He also has a lot of other material on the site, as well as material for middle schoolers

I have found some great ideas at www.indischool.com. Sometimes materials may need a quick edit, but that's not a problem.
