Big Bang Theory Lesson - High School
« on: July 12, 2011, 04:38:01 PM »
Hello all

Attached you will find a PPT and vocab list for my Big Bang Theory lesson. This could be used as a summer camp day, or as two regular lessons.

I have the episodes and subs for the first three episodes of season 1, as they establish the characters quite nicely. Subs can be found here: http://subtitles.tistory.com/category/B/The%20Big%20Bang%20Theory

The PPT is quite high level, feel free to adjust it as you see fit. The show is a catalyst for the bigger theme of friendship, so as to make it more palatable for the authorities! ;) Also, check the vocab list with you co-teacher, I did check with mine but you never know.

This is great! I've been wanting to show this in class, and the ppt is a great way to explain the characters! Nice job!  :D

I'm so excited about using this lesson plan! If only I could figure out how to make the video portion work.

I love this show! I really think my kids would get into it as well! This would be an awesome after school/summer camp club! Thanks!

Love the show and would love to use it but does the humor of them being giant nerds translate for your students?

Yeah, they get the joke:) I also explain on the PPT, as well as the vocab list. They're always asking me to watch it now, "Teacher Big Bang!" Even the lower level ones love it, it's a good time filler~
