Kung fu panda: movie and synopsis

This is my lesson after the exams. I didn't want to bore the kids too much, but I also didn't want them to just watch a movie.

I made this PPT and then what I did is tell the students that if they listen and do a good job with this we can watch a movie when it is finished. (Kung fu panda off course)

They will learn what a synopsis is and they will learn new vocabulary. This lesson is for your higher level students. The lesson takes about 30minutes, so you can watch about 10minutes of the movie.

i haven't tried it yet but thanks! i am trying to find a way to watch movies (which is what students love most) and yet make some kind of worksheets or lessons around them, so the other teachers don't scoff! haha.. this ppt should work well!

Hey, the powerpoint and vocab descriptions look really good. Do you do a listening gap-fill before taking up the answers? Or did they only look at the powerpoint? I think if I use this down the line I will probably have the kids do some kind of listening and then a matching exercise to match the words to the definitions. They won't listen through the powerpoint otherwise (sadly).
