Prezi.com

For those teachers that like using PowerPoint I now have had my students start using prezi.com instead.  The students absolutely love it.  I'm attaching a file that I used.  It is using prezi to present a cause for the month of October, but could be modified for anything really.  If you haven't used prezi yet, you should!

I thought Prezi was great for English presentations.  The only problem is the inability to type in Korean in order to translate something.  I might have my students do a road trip Prezi for a winter camp lesson.

You can type in Hangul with prezi.  First, open the themes bubble and chose the "Hangul (Korean)" theme, which is currently the last theme listed.  From there, you can customize the theme including changing font colors.  However, changing the font type at this point will leave you unable to type in Hangul.  What I usually do is start with the Hangul theme and customize it thoroughly, leaving only one of the fonts in the original, Hangul-friendly format.

I've been using prezi instead of powerpoint for all of my lessons and I like it so much more. It's especially useful if your school computer doesn't have office updated or is all in Korean (like mine). It takes some learning/getting used to but once you do you can create presentations that are a lot more interesting than ppt!
