Looking for rest of "What's the Word" PPT's
« on: March 12, 2012, 09:59:28 am »
Last week I found this simple, effective, and concise version of "What's the word?" here on Waygook. I believe there were 4 or 5 in total, but I only downloaded the first one on a whim. Well, it worked fantastic and I thought I had kept a note on what thread I could find the rest of the PPT's but it appears I did not! I was just wondering/hoping if anyone else downloaded this game, and knows where the rest pf the set can be found.

P.S I know this thread: http://waygook.org/index.php/topic,26376.msg189713.html#msg189713 has many versions of this game, but some of the associations/picture are potentially too advanced for my very low-level students.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I assume you're talking about the compound word PPTs.  I found one of those too, and some of my students like it.  If you can't find the rest of the PPTs, you can make your own pretty easily.  Start by finding a list of compound words like this one: http://www.learningdifferences.com/Main%20Page/Topics/Compound%20Word%20Lists/Compound_Word_%20Lists_complete.htm.  Then use Goggle Images to find representations of the words inside the compound word.  I think you could come up with a decent PPT fairly quickly.  It definitely doesn't need to be fancy to work well.

If you're talking about another game....then I was just kidding.
