attached is a worksheet for a lesson I put together on talking about schedules in the future and the past.
Several of my first grade students at various points mix up the terms that we typically use for talking about a week or two in the future and past or they say things like, "tomorrow's tomorrow."
Concerning a procedure for this lesson, I drew a calendar on the chalk board and started asking about the ss's schedule for the upcoming weeks.  My students have mid term exams next week and a picnic the week after that.  Most of the students were glad to talk about that part of the schedule. 
Then I started in with the terms we use to talk about; the near future, "this week, 2 days from now;" the future, "next week, 2 weeks/months/years from now;" the past, "last week, 2 weeks ago."
I used the calendar on the board to check students understanding of the phrases at each step of the explanation.
After this I gave the students the activity and made sure they understood it.  The more advanced classes I told to make two examples of their own based off of the three examples I gave them. 
I'm basically crowd sourcing here.  This lesson is pretty raw but it does seem to involve good language skill for students to practice.  Well at least in my situation where I've had students confused about what to say
