Middle School English 2-William Roszell Review Materials
« on: November 28, 2011, 05:07:58 PM »
I made a worksheet, which is just a combination of 3 other worksheets I found in this section, for the 2nd grader's review for lessons 9 and 10. It can take a good 20 minutes of your class.

Credit goes to its original makers.

This is a pretty straightforward lesson reviewing Lessons 8, 9, & 10 for the 2nd grade.  I just threw together bits and pieces from past lessons to review the material and played the "Pirates of the East Sea" bomb game for the rest of the lesson.

The only thing that may need a little explanation is "Human Sentence", just hand out the papers with different words on it to random students, have them come up to the front of the class and put them in order.  Once they are in order, have a student read the sentence aloud.

Good luck!

Any chance you can upload Grade 2 Review game again? I keep getting an error message when I try to open it...

Hey sorry it took me so long to respond, I haven't been on waygook for a little while.  Hope this gets to you in time.

Here's a review lesson or a fun post-exams lesson for grade 2 (units 1-3). I didn't make this game, thanks to SeattleBen for this incredible template. You can change the pictures and questions to suit whatever you're teaching.

Split the class into teams. The students roll the dice to decide which category they will get. A quiz question, acting, drawing, unscramble or 'guess who'. I have done this for two years in each class and it's always really popular.

After a long haul of downloading it is finally time to upload.  Here is chapter 1-5 review from the textbooks

Bomb game.  So have teams of 3 ideally.  Each team has a white board, maker and eraser.  If you don't have whiteboard, make them with a laminated piece of paper and us a tissue as an eraser.  Have at least one textbook per team.  Students take turns choosing a question (each question is from chapters 1-5 and is labelled).  The teams must then find the answer in their text books and write it down, then stick it in the air.  First team with the correct answer gets the points.  Worked amazingly.  Even with my problem classes.  Makes every kid participate and study the book without realizing they are spending 45 minutes reading their text books.

I went through and made a cheat sheet with the answers and wrote them down with the pg number but it isn't a comp file. I suggest doing this before you use it, takes 10 mins.

Same as above but grade 2

Hello, I had to make a review that didn't involve a bomb game so I decided to make a love story of sorts. It's just a simple powerpoint where I get the students to guess the gaps. It goes down pretty well. I have already gone through all the vocab in my previous lessons which are Lesson 1 & 2 of Grade 2.

Here is a review game for lessons 1-3 using the car race template. Works best in smaller classes because it is only made for 2 teams. Concentrates mainly on speaking and listening sections.

Lesson 4 and 5 review. As usual, it's low level. Uses the Ironman bombgame template.

Grade 2, Lesson 3-5 review using the League of Legends template.

All files should be in the same folder!
