Those are all my materials. Do you have any materials for the Cameron Wood book? If you do, I would be really grateful if you could share them. Thanks.

A fun story to teach "this is my dad / mum / sister / brother" etc.

Another story: http://study.jr.naver.com/english/view.nhn?id=DreamEnglish&parentId=10&nid=201&page=3

A game: http://waygook.org/index.php?topic=8874.msg70506;topicseen#new

A good PPT: http://waygook.org/index.php/topic,8874.msg81552/topicseen.html#new

I've attached a story PPT on the general theme of family, though with different target language.

Here's a very simple drawing template.

I have the Ss draw family portraits and talk about them with their partners.  Volunteers can present to the class.  The Ss can also label the members of their family if they have writing ability.

this bomb is awesome!!! I've used with my kids who are usually not so attentive and probably could care less and they just ate it up.  It's great to review the other material and introduce new material.  I plan on using this to help students remember what they learn as we continue on in the book.  Thank you so much for posting this.

Lesson 2 period 5

This is a modified ppt, so thanks to the originator. It stresses using the correct pronoun. Ex. who is this- this is my/ who is she- she is my/ who's he- he's my.....etc. I played a game where I divided half the class, team A and B. Each team lined up in the the front, in view of the bigscreen. They were given 45 seconds to see how many questions they could answer (used online stopwatch). We played a second and third time to see if they could beat their original score.

Amy,

As a newbie to teaching in Korea through EPIK, thank you so, so, so much for this index and materials.

I will return the favor when I accumulate material myself.

Unit 2: This Is My Family (Supplemental Handout)

I like to close off each unit with a handout ~ something easy, fun, that reviews the key vocab, expressions, that can, in the end, be used as study material for tests, exams later. I usually make it a little easier in the first few units for the grade three students, so this should only take a few minutes at most to do because it's meant as review for the second unit.

Feel free to print and use this in your class.
