Here's the PPT for Lesson 2 looking at the key expressions;
It's important to remember that little things can make a big difference for the Earth.
Remind me to  bring one for myself.

It runs through the dialogue and there's a Block Busters game to finish.

Thank you so much for your posts Jharris... I'm new to this, and I'm using your presentations as a basis for my lessons. It's helping me immensely.

I took JHarris' lesson and did a few small tweaks and split it into two parts.

I included a BlockBusters game for Part A, which went over really well with my kids. I split them up into boys and girls, and some of the questions are tailored for the boys and others the girls. Which is great when one group gets the questions meant for the other...

Some of the questions relate back to the lesson, but the majority are random trivia that were meant to just get them talking. Either way, you may want to change some of them... check it out before you do it!

For Part B, I ended any extra time we had with some Pictionary with words I would choose from the book. This also seemed to go over pretty well.

Hey, just looking at the uploads and they are great! Thanks for posting!
I have just tried the memory game before I teach the class at the end of this week but box number 12 is doesn't hide the tile again once you have clicked on it. I am not a whizz on PP (yet!) so if anyone can help fix it, it would be much appreciated :)

This is a revised version of j_kuan's ppt file. I added one activity from the book. I will use it for my open class. Also uploaded is the video file inserted into the 1st slide. Hope somebody finds this useful.

Lesson 2 Studio Ghibli Review Game
« Reply #10 on: April 19, 2016, 08:52:14 PM »
Update: Edited to fix a few animation errors.

Reviews key expressions over and over again.  Good for lower to mid level students. Uses many images from the other ppts in this thread as that's what I used as a supplement to the book activities.
I did not make this template, credit goes to the original creator for that.

Thanks for the PPT's previous posters! Here is my adapted version.

Part 1 - quiz style activity with worksheet
Part 2 - memory tile game

Updated 2017
Part 1 - more dingbats added for warm up
-some of the examples changed to reflect classroom rules
            - Higher levels I have time for the quiz but i've added in more dingbats for lower levels at the end instead.

Part 2 - general updates to pictures and unscramble at the end added in case the memory tile game doesn't last long

Thanks for the posts on this lesson guys. I did part of it last year but this year my cts are a bit...well...let's just say I had to change some things.

nbb* you saved my butt. I used the poster activity and even though I thought it would be too ambitious for my students (cts thinking, not mine really), they really enjoyed it and I look forward to the outcome of these posters^^.

Cheers
