Here is the PPT for Lesson 5 going through the key expression;
In my opinion,  CCTV cameras take away our privacy.
I’m annoyed that someone took my cell phone when I was in the library.

and the dialogue. I'll post a game for this soon.

Great ppt as usual Jharris! But the vocabulary and dialogue questions are from the last lesson, just thought I'd point that out

Here's a game of bingo with a worksheet. The students need to fill out their own bingo sheet before they start playing  ;D

Again, I based my lesson around JHarris' work but split it up into two lessons.

Lesson 5A:
Changed some of the graphics. Added some extra explanation. Added some bracketed pre-built sentences to use each expression... but most of them are loaded, so you can tell who is paying attention! Added slides about what annoys me (Stepping on lego's made everyone cringe).

I chose Kaboom for the activity. You will need to print out some stuff for this game, attached below. Play instructions are on the slide. More details elsewhere here on Waygook if you need it.

Lesson 5B:
I usually use the second part of the lesson as a review and to do the bulk of the bookwork. So... the PPT reviews the terms we learned last week using largely the same format, and ends up with a modified taboo game. I just split the kids up into boys and girls and pitted them against eachother--it's worked out so far.

Edit:
- Attached Activity Printouts
- Uploaded a cleaner version of 5A

Chapter 4-5 Review:
Here's my third-grade review for finals. It's pretty repetitive, but that's how I was instructed to make it. Note: A few of the slides are hidden.

Chapter 4-5 Activity:
The activity is a blockbusters game. Two teams try to answer questions to connect their colors together. Note: Slide 26 was specific to our school and I deleted it's contents--you'll need to change it.

Thanks everyone for posting their PPTs! Here is my adapted version.

Part 1 - ABC game - go around room and each student has to say something beginning with letters of the alphabet. You can do it in seat order / write up the alphabet and pick a letter at random for each student/ use student numbers / teams and roll the dice to decide who gets the next letter.
Sentences for dialog attached.

Part 2 - warm up - Jake's perfect sandwich clip from youtube. Students watch. Say whether they agree/disagree with the statement and then in their opinion, draw the perfect sandwich (in teams)
Bingo game attached as well - boards printed from the website generator. Language from the textbook game used.

2017 update
Part 1 - warm up = 2 versions of the same song embedded - which do they like better? Elicit opinions / worksheet for drawing the sandwich added

Part 2 - Songs warm up - which do they like better? / Example pics updated

I'd love to know how you set up the readers?  How do you decide who reads that period?  Is it by random draw?  Love to know your process.

:) :)

For the ABC game - loads of ways you could do it. Ones I have used are:

From the front/back, students take it in turns saying something in using the letters of the alphabet in order

Write the alphabet on the board. From the front/back you give the students a random letter and they have to say a word. Cross them off as you go

Write the alphabet on the board. Use student numbers to randomly choose students - they can start at A or you can randomly assign a letter

Put them in teams - use a dice to choose which team will say something with the next letter

I hope that helps :)
