Word search maker sites
« on: March 10, 2011, 02:13:46 pm »
Thought I would share the link to the most amazing word search maker ever, it is so easy to make and it is a hit amongst my Middle School students, they find it really challenging and my students love a challenge. This keeps them busy for plus minus 20 minutes depending on the level of the students.

Hope it is useful to some.

Hi!  My co-teacher has asked me many a times for word searches and hidden pictures to use in the classroom that relate to either a lesson or could incorporate several lessons as a review.  In my efforts I found some good sites that I thought I should share.

Here they are :

1.  http://bogglesworldesl.com/wordsearches.htm  (this one it is best to copy and paste in word doc so you can enlarge)

2.  http://www.english-4kids.com/puzzlesheets.html

3.  http://www.toolsforeducators.com/  (this one allows you to make your own worksheet and offers a variety from word searches, crosswords, bingo cards, and dice)

4. http://www.highlightskids.com/GamesandGiggles/gamesArchive/hpTopArchive.asp   (this site is for hidden pictures, there are printables and online interactive ones, which if you have an electronic board can be fun in small groups)

Hope this is useful to someone!  Have a great day!
